Reminder: there is a meeting Sunday February 24th 2007 at the Kyle City Hall from 2pm until 4pm with County Judge Liz Sumter. This is regarding any particular concerns Kyle residents may have. The Commissioners’ Court voted 4-1 to have new roads built in Kyle. Judge Sumter was the one “no” vote. Ray said he plans on being there. Hopefully some of the rest of we Amberwood residents will be able to attend also.

Vibra-Tech (the independent vibration monitors) and Texas Lehigh (the local cement plant) reported their findings on the effects of the cement plant’s blasting on the Amberwood community.

The condensed version of their presentation is that yes we can hear & feel the vibrations from their detonations and excavations but it’s not strong enough to be doing any damage to our houses.

These findings were met with much disbelief and skepticism by many of the community members present. Vibra-Tech will be doing another round of monitoring. If you would like more information about being included in the next round of seismic monitoring please contact Ray Bryant.

The slightly longer, more scientific version (taken from Vibra-Tech’s presentation) can be read below or by clicking “Read More”.
