Here is a compilation of documents each Amberwood resident should review, know, and understand. The documents include:

This group of documents provides the general parameters for all organizational and operational methods used to make Amberwood what it is today–a really great place to live!
Even a cursory reading of these documents will explain a lot to you. For instance, they will help you understand the difference between the powers of our HOA Board and volunteer HOA committees. They will also explain the voting procedure at each Board meeting. So please, take time to look these documents over. If you have any questions about specific provisions, please contact Mrs. Frances Witt, the Covenant Committee CoChair, or Tom Witt. They will be able to help you get clarification on the interpretation of these documents.

The Amberwood HOA is incorporated as a Non-Profit entity under Texas Law. The HOA’s legal name is “Community of Amberwood Homeowners Association, Inc.” Amberwood’s Articles of Incorporation were filed in the Office of the Secretary of State of Texas on October 21st, 2002. So now that we know what the Amberwood HOA is, it would be great to know (1.) how its supposed to operate and (2.) the types of specific things it is supposed to do. In order to find out, just read the HOA By-Laws. The by-laws will describe the functions and responsibilities of the HOA Board, its Officers, HOA Committees, and general membership. It will also describe the frequency and place meetings should be held, the manner in which the HOA can enter and execute contracts, and the way all HOA records and bookkeeping should be administered. All Amberwood residents should adhere to the covenants and restrictions that were signed when you closed on your home. It is possible you may not have received a copy of these rules when you purchased your home. However, all Amberwood residents are responsible for following the rules outlined in the covenants and restrictions document. ******************************************************
